Golden State Brewery’s philosophy is "to make great beer, have fun, and care about our community!" Upon entering, you may think you’ve stumbled across a Chuck E. Cheese or Dave and Buster’s—the brewery is full of fun activities such as darts, cornhole, and arcade games. The owners have designed Golden State as a place where guests can drink beer, hang out, play outdoor games, and party. A glimpse of the brewery can be seen in the video below.
Golden State brewers have taken many classic beer styles and added a new twist, especially with beers like Cold Brew Coffee Stout, Golden State Red Ale, and Bay Area Blonde. Beer flights start at about $7 and include six tastings. Additionally, don’t be surprised if you come across a few of their beers as you tour the Bay Area. Many varieties are sold at local retail locations. The full beer menu can be accessed on their website.
Located in the old Memorex building, Golden State Brewery proudly proclaims itself to be the first brewery in Santa Clara since Prohibition. Here, the taproom is the center of attention. When seated at the bar, the entire operation of the brewery is visible—from start to finish.
Golden State is also super dog-friendly and even features a “Brew Dog’s Wall,” where visitors are welcome to display pictures of their dogs. Bring a photo of your fur baby to add to the wall. Many guests come for a quick drink but end up staying longer for fun. Golden State Brewery is open seven days a week.
