“The Insider's Guide” Of Where To Go And What To Do In Chicago

Genevieve is named after its owner, Genevieve “Genny” Konz Heyborne, who opened the boutique after 20 years of doing corporate work, and with help from her sisters. She detailed this journey on the boutique’s Instagram page with pride.

Genevieve’s desire to help other women shine and to give them an “escape from daily routine” is what inspired her to open the cozy neighborhood boutique in Lincoln Square, one that combines classic looks with more modern fashion. There is also a good mix of work clothes and items that are more casual.

The store holds sales and specials relatively often and participates in Lincoln Square’s events, like their Shop Late event and, of course, Small Business Saturday. The boutique’s Facebook page, alongside the Instagram account, contains sample outfits, staff picks of their favorite items, announcements of upcoming events (like trunk shows, special hours, and if a charity will receive some of the shop’s sales), and some slightly more personal posts from Genevieve.
