“The Insider's Guide” Of Where To Go And What To Do In Chicago
The Gallery Café has been a long-standing staple for Wicker Park and Bucktown residents since it's opening in 1996.
The café roasts their beans everyday in-house to ensure that customers have fresh coffee for the start of their day. They keep art and culture alive by roasting coffee from all around the world. Currently, they have coffee on the menu from Brazil, Mexico, Costa Rica, Peru, and Guatemala.
The mission of the Gallery Café is to support and display local artists' work. On display around the café customers can find local art that they can buy. There is a different featured artist every month and a monthly artist appreciation night.
You can also buy a bag of house roasted beans that comes with a free small coffee. If you want a good deal, go on Thursdays for $2 off a bag of coffee. They also can deliver straight to your door. The Gallery Café also serves breakfast and lunch all day and sticks with the theme of art in the names. Sandwiches are named the Kahlo, Dali, and Davinci, to name a few.
The café is open every day of the week and sizes range from 12-20 oz. drinks at $2-$5 a cup.
