According to a 2018 Block Club Chicago article, this giant blue Earth, officially known as "Many Pieces, One Purpose", found its way to Fulton Market when it was commissioned by the West Loop Community Organization to combat racist graffiti left on the Kennedy Expressway ramps. Richard Alapack created the tiled mural on Bridgford Foods' wall as a part of his "we all live here" project. Check it out on Lake Street in Fulton Market, between Peoria Street and Green Street. The mural was completed in the summer of 2018. Source: https://blockclubchicago.org/2018/07/15/giant-planet-earth-artwork-rises-in-west-loop-in-response-to-racist-graffiti/
