When the 565 W. Adams building was opened in 1992, three terraces were built to complement the lattice awning atop the school. Although students could see these terraces every day from the Reading Room and the 9th floor, they were inaccessible until Thomas Flanagan '63 made a generous gift enabling renovations. Those renovations converted these spaces into open air patios, enhancing the student and alumni experience.
From the 10th floor, head west and turn left to the Arthur Morris Event Hall. Once in Morris Hall, head west to the 10th floor balcony. Both 10th floor balconies were part of the Flanagan Family gift.
