National Museum of Mexican Art
Written By National Museum of Mexican Art

Come to The National Museum of Mexican Art, where you can immerse yourself in the richness of Mexican art and culture right here in Chicago. We showcase 3,000 years of creativity from both sides of the border, connecting museum visitors to the diversity of Mexican culture. Whatever your background, you’ll connect to this museum on a very personal level.

One of the Museum’s strongest points is the production of original exhibitions with scholarship and public appeal that draw from the Permanent Collection as well as objects borrowed from museums in the U.S. and Mexico.

Since opening its doors, the Museum has presented over 215 exhibitions. These numerous displays have featured works ranging from centuries old Mesoamerican artifacts to contemporary site-specific art installations. In addition, the museum has produced 19 traveling exhibits that have been displayed at museums across the U.S. Five of these exhibitions also traveled to museums in Mexico.
