Connecting visitors with their ideal travel experiences in Tucson and Southern Arizona.

Established in 1922 by Monica Flin, El Charro is the oldest Mexican restaurant in America that continues to be owned and operated by the same family. In that time, a restaurant owned by a woman was certainly a rarity, let alone one where the same woman cooked and hosted and did everything necessary to keep the place running! Today, her great-grandniece, Carlotta Flores, keeps this amazing Sonoran culinary tradition thriving, still drying the carne seca (seasoned and shredded beef) in a cage atop the roof in the Tucson sun. You can literally taste the history.
