Welcome to Eastern Market, the oldest and largest open year-round public market in America. This landmark consists of four markets, each with distinctive foods, products, and experiences. The Saturday Market is pure Detroit, with over 225 vendors sharing produce and stores. The Sunday Market is a showcase of all things Detroit-local - artists, cooks, musicians, jewelers, and more. The Tuesday Market is a scaled-down experience to purchase fresh produce, baked goods, and meats. They even offer cooking demonstrations, Zumba and yoga classes. The Thursday Night Market is full of food, music, art, drinks, and shopping.
The mission of Eastern Market is to nourish a happier, healthier, and wealthier city through increased access to proper food. Since it's inception in the 1800s, the market has been providing fresh and nutritious food to citizens throughout Southeastern Michigan.
