Animal lovers and safari adventurers will delight in the Dallas Zoo’s special exhibition featuring incredible light displays. As the zoo’s animals retire for the evening, the zoo will come alive with more than one million lights from mid-November to early January. At Dallas Zoo Lights, presented by Reliant, folks can stroll through ZooNorth and enjoy 25 acres of holiday-themed light displays and vignettes, including Candy Land at the North Pole. Take a look at the Dallas Zoo's preview below:
The Dallas Zoo Lights’ key highlight is its silk-lantern sculptures shaped like many of the zoo’s beloved animals. If you’re looking for more activities for the family or your friend group, there will be holiday photo stops, a carousel and mini-train rides, each lit up by holiday lights. The event will also have seasonal treats available such as gourmet donuts, cookies, hot chocolate, and holiday crafted adult beverages.

Beginning November 17, Dallas Zoo Lights will open every weekend Friday through Sunday, as well as select weeknights. The holiday event is free with regular zoo admission, so guests can see the animals during the day and stay for the holiday festivities at night for no additional charge. Guests can also come just for the holiday displays, which are scheduled from 5 to 9 p.m. each evening of Dallas Zoo Lights. The event will be closed on Dec. 24 and 25, and Dallas Zoo Lights will end January 2, 2020.
