Founded in 1959, the Dallas Theater Center was one of the first regional theaters in the US. It was originally founded as an educational institution and was expected to be a conservatory. During its early stages, the theatre became a national leader in producing experimental interpretations of classic works. It also had many world premieres, with 35 plays premiering within the first couple decades. In 1983, the Dallas Theater Center was changed to be a fully professional theatre with its own resident company of actors and actresses. Since then, they have continually strived for artistic excellence in every performance. Click on the video to see their upcoming 2019-2020 season line-up.
