Serving up anything from ales to lagers, to saisons and IPAs, Crime and Punishment Brewing Company makes sure to hit all its bases when crafting their beer. You're sure to find a brew that you enjoy at their taproom in Brewerytown, USA. C+P is working to bring back the local brewing tradition that had once pervaded Philadelphia by adding their own spin: beers with international inspiration and made with newer techniques.
With eight beers on draft at Crime and Punishment, you are sure to get a taste of the Russian-inspired ales. With three IPAs on the menu you have plenty to choose from: "Space Race" is an IPA with hints of stone fruits, papaya, and wheat grass; "Portable Chekhov" is a Single Hop IPA that holds tastes of summer stone fruits and papaya melon salad; and "Darvaza" is a Double IPA with Semillon Grape Juice hits you with flavors of mango, cantaloupe, fruit salad, and white grapes. The last five beers on the menu are comprised of a Pilsner known as "Palinoia," an Ordinary Bitter called "Pig's Ear," a Double Hopped Tangerine Gose coined "Sherbert Day," a Berliner Weiss with Raspberries dubbed "Ghost Station," and a final Sour IPA with Naranjilla entitled "Daily Constellation."
Keeping with the name, C+P boasts a menu that is full of Russian-influenced dishes with a twist like Potato Pierogis, Kielbasa, Beet Pelmini and even sides of sauerkraut to top it off. Hearty, Russian-inspired dishes aren't the only eats available, C+P is also cooking up brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 11am - 3pm. Go sweet with their Breakfast Bread Pudding, or choose savory with their Stroganoff Benedict.
C+P has become a place where you can go to drink a beer with your friends and also get to know the people who live in the Philly community. This brewery has become a pillar in Brewerytown by hosting local art events, sponsoring little league teams, hosting pig roasts and even a costume party for the community.
