“The Insider's Guide” Of Where To Go And What To Do In Chicago
Corona’s Cafe is a small, cozy place where you can spend a nice afternoon with pastries or beverages, or get some lunch with their sandwiches, wraps, or omelets. It came about in 2000 and has since, been a local favorite. Since they offer free wifi, it is also a hotspot to bring your laptop and do some work.
Wood and bricks plaster the cafe’s interior, creating a homey feel as you relax alone or with a friend. Their breakfast menu is quite vast, with different types of skillets, wraps, sandwiches, and omelets based on recipes from all over the world. For lunch, pick out of a choice of salads, wraps, focaccias, sandwiches, or plates—there is plenty of variety here. Corona’s also offers different types of desserts from cheesecakes to muffins if you are looking for something sweet. If you’re not looking to eat a whole meal, there is still a menu of bagels, smoothies, coffees, and teas at your disposal. Their coffee can also be enjoyed at home as Corona's also sells coffee roasts by the counter.
During warmer seasons, you can enjoy your order outside in their sidewalk patio section, which is great for some open-air eating in the neighborhood. However, when it’s too cold, Corona’s cafe also offers delivery service so you don't miss out just because Chicago's winters are brutal. The restaurant is open every day from 7:30 in the morning until the afternoon at either 4 or 5 PM depending on the day.
