Coorg Indian Cafe is a traditional Indian cafe serving drinks, dishes, and edibles from the Coorg region of southern India located in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Are you a fan of single-origin coffee, samosas, and curry lentils? Maybe even a mango martini? Coorg has everything you would want from your drinks, eats, and caffeinated beverages with an Indian flair.
All of the coffee served at Coorg Indian Cafe comes from the owner's coffee plantation in the Coorg region of India about 8 miles from Madikeri (the district headquarters of Coorg) and is then roasted on-site at the cafe. On the plantation, Robusta and Arabica coffee beans are grown at altitudes of 3500-5000 ft alongside orange, teak and sandalwood trees. The processing on the plantation is done by handpicking ripe coffee cherries and then sun-drying them in the front yard. Espresso, americanos, lattes and iced coffees dot the menu at Coorg giving you a variety of coffee drinks to choose from while dining.
Get your dining experience started at Coorg with a Mango Lassi and an appetizer of Samosas. Continue on with some of the cafe's entrees like Coorg Pork, Paneer Tikka Masala, or the Curry Lentils. Enjoy all the spices and flavors and then move on to dessert and coffee. Pick either the Gulab Jamun or Baklava for dessert and pair it with an espresso made with the beans from the plantation in Coorg to finish off your meal.
The Coorg region of India is a small district in the state of Karnataka in Southwest India.
