If you are looking to take a step out of the downtown New Orleans area, you could not find a better place in the city to relax than City Park. This 1,300-acre park has plenty of things to see! You could easily spend an entire evening here.

The park first opened in 1854, making it one of the oldest urban park in the United States. Even if the summer, this is a great place to hang out due to the large trees and plentiful shade. Come to admire the bridges, willow trees, the ducks and geese, and the amazing flowers that bloom in the summer!
