Wondering where to take your kids for a fun day in Portland? The Children's Museum is the perfect excuse to spend family time while having a blast! Open from 9 am to 5 pm, this place is different from most museums. Instead of having exhibits for people to look at, here there are hand-on learning experiences for children, focusing on them as the meaningful component of the visit.
Have you heard people saying that kids see the world with different eyes? Well, this place is perfect for them to explore their curiosity and imagination. With endless opportunities to learn through play, they will be able to interact with all the different exhibits that include art and sciences tools. Their imagination will play an important role to discover ideas and express them through arts and crafts.

For an $11 fee, children will have the opportunity to explore more than a dozen permanent exhibits. Pet hospital is one of the most popular ones because it gives them the opportunity to become a vet for a day and perform check-ups on stuffed animals. But if this is not what your kids are looking for, no worries, there are plenty of other options. How about a boat race where they can create teams with other kids? ”Water Works” is the exhibit for those little ones that enjoy water experiences. There are dryers provided to avoid that their clothes get wet during the experience. Other fun exhibits are the Zany Maze or the Outdoor Aventure that allow them to build forts, hike trails and dig in the dirt.
