This historic building is named "Chicago's Oldest Cultural Institution" and has an interesting history. Although the original site and the exhibits within burned down in the Great Chicago Fire, one survived. The permanent exhibit, "Imagining Chicago: The Dioramas" was restored and can still be viewed.
Some of the museum highlights include one of the oldest "L" rail cars which patrons can sit in. And for kids, the model of a Chicago hot dog where they can be the "dog."
The museum also has many temporary exhibits. Click "CHECK IT OUT!" to find out what exhibits are happening now.
