Despite being the oldest food hall in Chicago, the Chicago French Market, 131 N. Clinton St., has only been in the "Second City" for 10 years. Located on the bottom level of Ogilvie Transportation Station, this food hall mimics the European-style marketplace. Owned by the Bensidoun family, the food hall has 30 plus vendors. According to the Chicago French Market website, the Bensidoun family operates almost 100 open-air and indoor markets throughout Europe and North America; 11 of which are summer, weekend-outdoor markets in the Chicagoland area. Examples of the market vendors include Vegan Now, a soul vegan food restaurant; Turkitch, a Turkish restaurant serving pastries and desserts; Demera Ethiopian, an authentic Ethiopian restaurant; and Loop Juice, a fresh juice bar. While you wait for the train, eat your way through the French Market! SOURCES:
