Lakeview Chamber of Commerce
Written By Lakeview Chamber of Commerce

The Lakeview Chamber of Commerce is a community of entrepreneurs working together and supporting each other to create a stronger neighborhood and business environment, through advocacy, promotion, networking and education.

Cafe Tola was opened on the Southport Corridor just north of Addison in 2012 by cafe owner, Victoria Salamanca. What started off with five employees quickly exploded to a staff of more than 20 people, producing and selling over 14,000 empanadas in a single month! People from Lakeview and all over the city are attracted to this 400 square-foot stand known for its delicious food and rotating murals, many of which are painted by local artist Luis Rivera (who goes by the name Aniki28).

Cubs fans and players alike frequent Cafe Tola to enjoy some of what the small stand has to offer. In 2017, former Cubs catcher, David Ross, filmed a Kellogg's commercial just outside of the cafe.

But David Ross isn’t the only one. People of all ages line up to try some of Chicago’s best empanadas!
