Formerly a private collection, the Buckland Museum of Witchcraft and Magick began when Raymond Buckland started accumulating occult objects in 1966. It traveled around a bit, touching down in New York State, New Hampshire, and New Orleans before finding a permanent home in Ohio in 2015. Applying an anthropological approach to the history of all things magical, this collection includes artifacts associated with such infamous folks as Aleister Crowley and the Hellfire Club.
Spanning over 500 objects, the Buckland collection includes artifacts from cultures all over the world and even some creepy things from closer to home. Interested in the Salem witch trials? There are actual documents from the historical scandal right here. Take a look inside with this great video from Jacob The Carpetbagger!
