Brassicas are an often unsung group of vegetables. Fibrous and healthy, as celebrated as they are maligned, the foods of the cabbage family really are delicious, but only if you know what to do with them. Luckily, the Malhame brothers know what they're doing. And they serve more than just cabbages.
The menu at Brassica is blissfully simple. They serve falafel, brisket, chicken shawarma, glazed lamb bacon (!!!) and mixed vegetables in homemade pita bread. You can also order hummus platters and salads - but come on, if you have the chance to get fresh-baked pita, you should probably take advantage of that. Want a look inside the operation? Check out this video from Buckeye Center.
This also a great spot for a wide variety of occasions. Want to feed a crowd on a budget? The takeout menu is set up to feed up to twenty people. Maybe you just need a casual spot for a low-pressure date? Brassica serves a selection of craft beers, nostalgic sodas, and even a minty pink lemonade to try with your beau.
