Connecting visitors with their ideal travel experiences in Tucson and Southern Arizona.
Located in a historic train depot on Toole Avenue just a hair north of the downtown epicenter, Borderlands Brewing Company has been slinging suds in Tucson since 2011. The first brewery to open its doors in Tucson’s craft beer renaissance, Borderlands embodies the spirit of the Old Pueblo with its old school taproom design, southwest-inspired beer recipes and longstanding history of grassroots engagement with the local community.
Borderlands’ taproom remains one of its most unique features as newer breweries have scrambled to find well-located, attractive spaces for their operations in what has become a very competitive grab for brewery-friendly real estate. With one of Tucson’s largest murals on its backside facing the railroad tracks, a sprawling outdoor space lined with Palo Verde trees in front and a rustic taproom rich with old west character, Borderlands offers a sensory experience to patrons that begins long before beer hits the glass. Recognized for beers like its Noche Dulce vanilla porter, Citrana kettle sour and Toole Avenue IPA—all of which are canned and distributed throughout the state—, this established brewery has proven its ability to innovate as the Arizona craft beer scene continues its explosive growth into the regional and national beer scene.
