As a Texas native, Mark Bohanan had a dream to one day open up a classic American steakhouse that served the best beef in the state. In 2002, his dream became a reality with the launch of Bohanan's Prime Steak and Seafood. Located only one block from San Antonio's famous Riverwalk, the restaurant is your best bet in the city for a fantastic steak in a chic environment.
Bohanan's features an award-winning menu that focuses on prime steaks and seafood. Guests can enjoy mesquite-grilled center cuts of prime-aged beef and fresh seafood.
Another unique menu specialty is the Japanese Akaushi steaks. Full of flavor, yet extremely healthy, this type of beef is in a league of its own. The Texas-raised Akaushi cattle thrive on a lifestyle that utilizes progressive ranching practices. Ranchers emphasize humane living conditions, a strict healthy diet, and animal stress reduction, resulting in beef with superior marbling that's extraordinarily palatable, tender, and lower in saturated fat.
Along with a stellar wine list and fantastic service, Bohanan's is an excellent dinner option in San Antonio. There is also a special lunch menu available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The elegant restaurant is housed in a building originally constructed in the late 1800s. When Mark first scouted out the building, he was enamored with the 18-foot, heart pine floorboards, and vowed to keep them intact during the building's renovation.
