Just because you’re in Vegas doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy some of the beauty of the outdoors. The Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Garden brings the stunning wonder of flowers, trees, shrubs, and other plants right into the heart of downtown Vegas where all can enjoy.
The hugely talented horticulturalists and designers for the Bellagio Conservatory Team transform the 14,000-square-foot floral space into a showcase of seasonal sights and colors for spring, winter, summer, and fall. They also create a special display for the Chinese New Year. As the seasons change, the displays rotate, with 90 percent of the trees, flowers, and other plants recycled in the conservatory to further celebrate the wonder and beauty of the earth while also caring for the environment.
Entering the conservatory from the lobby, you’ll see a vaulted glass ceiling that reaches up to 50 feet into the air. The ceiling framework and beams are sculpted green, oxidized copper metal called verdigris, set in a floral pattern. The 120+ member horticulture staff maintains the Botanical Gardens and entire grounds of the Bellagio, keeping the area stunning and inviting with the unique designs, rotating plants, and complementary features. You may find ponds, bridges, gazebos, water features, and other amazing things around the area, based primarily on the season.
The season starts with Chinese New Year, during which they feature traditional Chinese designs of the holiday celebration. Come springtime, and you’ll find cherry blossoms and other spring elements blossoming up from the ground and trees all around.
Summer produces fragrant, heat-resistant flowers and plants, while autumn displays feature warm autumn colors of orange, yellow, gold, and brown among the foliage. Finally, the conservatory transforms into a Christmas wonderland.
