Connecting visitors with their ideal travel experiences in Tucson and Southern Arizona.
Arizona’s longest continually-brewed beer, Barrio Blonde, is just one of the many factors that helped build Barrio Brewing Company into Tucson’s biggest craft brewery. Founded in 1991 by owner Dennis Arnold as Gentle Ben’s—a university-area brewpub that still serves Barrio’s beer today—Barrio Brewing Company was formally established in 2006 at its current home in a Quonset-hut-turned-brewery a half mile south of downtown.
Visit Barrio on any given afternoon or evening and you are bound to find a crowd of locals and regulars who have been drinking Barrio beer for years. A favorite stop of tired rock climbers looking for sustenance following crag sessions at the nearby climbing gym, Barrio is beloved for its expansive menu of pub fare, friendly service and wide selection of core, rotating and seasonal brews that includes their signature blonde, a silky-smooth mocha porter on a nitro and their widely-distributed Citrazona citrus IPA.
