Alqueria is the perfect utility spot. Happy hour with friends? With $5 grapefruit daiquiris and brussels sprouts with bleu cheese that are just as cheap, you'll never want to leave. But Alqueria's also a great spot for a special occasion. Featuring seasonal Ohio produce, a menu that could please just about anyone, and an approachable wine list, this place hasn't even been open for a year and it has a solid cult following.
Formerly of a Barcelona restaurant, the team behind Alqueria decided to open their own place when chef-owners Jacob Hough and Patrick Marker discovered they shared the same dream. Now, the restaurant is taking off, and they couldn't be more excited to be venturing out on their own. Want to learn more about these intrepid entrepreneurs? From the old-school farming tools gracing the walls to the passionate staff and satisfied customers (one Yelp reviewer said it has won her award for "The Columbus restaurant I want to go to the most"), Alqueria is definitely a place to add to your list.
