If you are a chocolate lover who is also passionate about art, the Matter of Taste: Art+Chololate art walking tour is for you. Take a tour of three of Santa Fe's most beloved art galleries all while enjoying rich chocolate and pastries. This tour features three galleries-- Nedra Matteucci Galleries, Peters Projects, and Pippin Contemporary. The tour begins at Nedra Matteucci Galleries, a landmark Santa Fe art gallery located in a classic adobe and specializing in Southwestern art. Visitors will then stop at Peters Projects, where they will be shown a range of unique artwork by local and international contemporary artists that can only be found in Santa Fe.
Finally, after attending the current exhibitions at Peters Projects, the tour takes visitors to Pippin Contemporary. The gallery, located on Canyon Road, features colorful, vibrant artwork and was voted the Best Gallery in New Mexico and nominated in the Top 25 best museums by Art Awards in 2014 and 2019. Although many of the walking art tours of Santa Fe only feature art, A Matter of Taste: Art + Chocolate takes guests to the Kawaka Cholocate House to enjoy traditional Mayan chocolate elixirs, a hot chocolate drink flavored with chile. There, visitors will continue the conversation about the artwork of the tour with their group.
Due to exhibition schedules during the year, the selection of galleries may change. Adults and children 10 years of age and older are eligible to attend this tour. To plan your trip, click through to view times and rates.
