If you've seen "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," the comedy film set in Chicago, you may recognize 333 W. Wacker as the office where Ferris' father worked.
The postmodern building at 333 W. Wacker was designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates and was completed in 1983. It is 36 stories high.
The base of the building is composed of stone, which gives the illusion that the tower floats above the river. The blue-green glass facade is meant to mimic the color of the water.
Its beautiful, ever-changing reflections led Chicago Tribune readers to vote 333 W. Wacker Dr. as “Chicago’s Favorite Building” in 1995 and 1997.
