The 1840s Carrollton Inn is a luxurious boutique hotel with one of the best 19th-century style courtyards in the city. Since there are only 12 rooms in the hotel, each room has a distinct artistic sensibility. The hotel is made up of former row houses and most of the features are either original or tastefully refurbished. Check out the rooms at The 1840s Carrollton Inn in this photo montage...
The 1840s Carrollton Inn is conveniently located right off the Inner Harbor and a convenient stroll from Fell's Point on the edge of Baltimore's Little Italy. Little Italy is a cultural and culinary enclave which has some of the oldest Italian restaurants in the state. Guests staying at the Carrollton Inn will notice the detailing most of all. From the ceilings ringed with elaborate crown molding to hand-painted wall textures, brocade drapery, and period furnishings, everything at the Carrollton Inn has a touch of luxury. The Carroll Suite is especially luxurious, with a classic four-poster king bed with canopy as well as a large apricot marble fireplace.
Thankfully the bathrooms are a little more luxurious than a standard Victorian as each bathroom comes with a huge jacuzzi tub. Hot tea and coffee are free and breakfast is made to order. The owners have amassed an impressive collection of Victorian-era artwork and it is on display on almost every turn throughout the hotel. For discerning patrons, the 1840s Carrolltown Inn is a special treat, a hotel that is unlike any chain you might stay in. Anyone staying here will get a true Baltimore experience.
