The Turquoise Trail/#12: Rosendo S. Perez Park
Presidio San Agustin del Tucson Museum
Written By Presidio San Agustin del Tucson Museum

This little park is named in honor of a neighbor, Rosendo Perez, who was responsible for putting El Tiradito Shrine on the National Register of Historic Places. Plaques describe a mule-drawn trolley, Elysian Grove (formerly Carrillo Gardens), Simpson’s Baths and Spring Garden Baths, and El Ojito. Also note the wonderful mural on the south side of the building that depicts the legend of El Tiradito.

The Presidio Museum offers guided walking tours of the Turquoise Trail.
