International Museum of Surgical Science Highlights

The International Museum of Surgical Science maintains four floors of exhibits dedicated to the history of surgery and medicine from all over the world. In addition to the permanent collection and rotating temporary exhibits on medical history, the Museum hosts a strong contemporary art exhibition program. This adventure will take you on a highlights tour of the Museum collection.

    The Hall of Immortals is on the second floor of the Museum, to the left as you come up the stairs.

    Iron Lung

    The iron lung is on the second floor of the Museum, straight back, to the right of the library.

    Trephined Skulls of Peru

    Trephined Skulls of Peru

    The case of trephined skulls is on the third floor all the way at the end of the hallway.

    Rembrandt Reproduction

    Rembrandt Reproduction

    The painting is in the Anatomical Illustrations room, on the third floor, down the hallway to the left.

    Spanish Mural Gallery

    Spanish Mural Gallery

    The Spanish mural gallery is on the fourth floor, through the Nursing exhibit on the right.

    Home History Exhibit

    Home History Exhibit

    The home history exhibit is on the fourth floor, immediately to the left as you come up the stairs.
