Recent changes to NYS school accountability measures created new school accountability categories, new metric systems, and new designations for identifying schools who are below, meeting, or exceeding state expectations. Additionally, many districts are now requiring that CEP goals align with ESSA ratings. But ESSA is complex, and each new measurement is a peek into how the state is defining student achievement and teacher performance.
What do these changes mean for your school?
Join Dr. Roberta Lenger Kang as she breaks down the latest changes to NYS accountability standards and helps you to analyze school data, create strategic plans for your school that can be used immediately for developing your CEP, and reach your target goals.
For a preview of the information you'll tackle at Exploring ESSA, check out Dr. Kang's preliminary breakdown of ESSA's components.
